Background
Stream Events Asia Ltd, affectionately known in the industry as
“SEA” is not new to the Thailand MICE market. Stream Events Asia
(SEA) is the only boutique DMC in Thailand dedicated to offering
individualised service to all their clients.
Established in 2014, Stream Events Asia (SEA) is the brainchild of
two highly experienced and well respected Thailand executives, Ms
Kris Srisatin and Ms Nong Maneesub. Together, Kris and Nong offer
their clients over 45 years of experience as industry professionals
holding senior executive positions in many of Thailand's established
DMCs including Pacific World and Destination Asia.
Their dream of establishing Thailand’s first “boutique” Destination
Management Company (DMC) is now a reality and they continue to
expand their reach with destinations including Cambodia, Vietnam
and Laos.
Thailand
Located in central South-East Asia, Thailand covers an area of
approximately 515,000n sq kilometres with visitors enjoying a
tropical climate with temperatures ranging from 20 - 38c. The
monsoon period is normally between May to July with cooler, drier
periods expected in November and December.
The predominant religion of Thailand is Buddhism with other
religions including Hinduism, Christianity and Taoism also practised.
Thailand’s beaches and islands are amongst the world’s favourite
destinations for visitors, especially those from Australia and New
Zealand. Popular beach locations such as Koh Samui, Krabi, Karon
Beach, Phuket and Hua Hin where the Thai Royal Family built their
summer palaces, all offer natural beauty.
A visit to Thailand is not complete without a stay in the capital,
Bangkok (Krung Thep - City of Angels). Founded in 1782 by King
Rama 1, the first King of the present Chakri dynasty. Bangkok now
has a thriving population of over ten million people and welcomes
visitors from all parts of the world swelling the population with their
number. The famous Chao Phraya River, commonly known as the
“River of Kings” is at the centre of Bangkok’s everyday activities
with barges working their way along the river and tourists exploring
the many canals, floating markets and waterways.
